The Photographer of the Horn

Marc Kronig has spent thirty years chasing every mood of the Matterhorn — storm, starlight and alpenglow.

By Tobias Liljeroth

Issue #001 · Winter 24/25

Marc Kronig lives in Zermatt with the Matterhorn as his closest neighbour and his camera always within reach. For over 30 years, he’s captured some of the most beautiful and iconic images of the most dramatic mountain in the world in every condition and weather imaginable – from early summer mornings to heavy storms in the midst of winter.
